Dhauli : 5 Km

Perched on Dhauli Hill about 5 km south of Bhubaneswar, this white stupa symbolizes Emperor Ashoka’s transformation from war to peace after the Kalinga War. Built in the early 1970s by Japanese Buddhist organizations, the stupa features sculptural panels depicting Ashoka’s renunciation, Buddha’s life scenes, rock edicts, and ancient relics, all set amid serene surroundings and offering panoramic views of the Daya River valley.

Lingaraj Temple : 2 Km.

The Lingaraj Temple, located in Old Town, is Bhubaneswar’s oldest and most revered shrine—an architectural marvel dating back to the 11th century, epitomizing Kalinga style and encompassing numerous subsidiary shrines

Nandankanan : 18 km

Established in 1960 and inaugurated later that year, Nandankanan is one of India’s few zoos located within a forested area, sprawling around Kanjia Lake (18–20 km from Bhubaneswar) . It holds the distinction of being the first zoo to breed white tigers and melanistic tigers and is the only conservation centre for Indian pangolins Nandankanan . Nandankanan also boasts other achievements like the first captive breeding of ratels and gharials, safari experiences, a botanical garden, and membership in the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

Puri Jagannath Temple : 55 km

This iconic 12th-century temple, built in the Kalinga style by King Indradyumna, honors Lord Jagannath, a form of Vishnu, along with Balabhadra and Subhadra . . It’s famed for the grand annual Rath Yatra, during which the deities travel to Gundicha Temple on elaborately decorated chariots, drawing devotees worldwide . The idols are wooden and replaced periodically, and daily rituals include the offering of Mahaprasad — a sacred feast of 56 dishes prepared in the temple’s vast kitchen (Rosaghara) and revered by all .
